The Summer School 'Tradition and Modernity' was established in 1995 and, alongside the Summer School in Motovun, is one of the oldest brands of the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb. After several years held on the island of Brač, since 2012 it has been held on the island of Lopud - continuing its focus on themes of 'new in the old', the relationship between contemporary and traditional, following the initial vision and high qualitative standards set by its founder and longtime director, Professor Dinko Kovačić. This publication presents the results of the International Summer School of Architecture Lopud 2012.
