The student project «Urban Parks of Croatia» is conducted at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb. There are two main goals of the project:
- presentation of the park heritage of Croatians towns as part of the cultural heritage both to domestic and international public.
- student research that includes the use of new technologies as part of the education on the Department for Urban Planning

Croatian towns have valuable heritage of urban parks that helped in creating urban image and identity while improving the living conditions within the urban environments. In the last decade, as part of their education in field of landscape architecture, students made many essays and reports on the subject that were unpublished and inaccessible. By creating this on-line database of Croatian urban parks an important part of the national cultural heritage is presented to the public. Besides educational purposes the important aim of the project is to contribute in promotion of national cultural heritage by the means of the new media.

GPH is included in the Stockholm Challenge 2004 project database.
